(c) Waste disposal in Singapore

(d) An endangered animal and how it is being protected

3. Using recycled/scrap materials, create a useful object (NOT ornamental) and explain in detail the materials that have been used

OR

Make a poster/collage depicting any theme on environmental conservation

4. Organize an environmental conservation project to increase awareness of the community. (Don’t have to do…Proposal already written out. Now just have to write it out and submit to school for approval before we can do)

Proposed Plan

Environmental Conservation Project

Objective: To increase awareness of the community

Proposal: Have an event that aims to spread awareness of saving the world and our environment to the pupils in the school.

Activities that can be held:
1. Collecting drink cans. Teenagers nowadays drink a lot of drinks from cans and when they have finished drinking the liquid in the can, they just crush the cans up and dispose it into any normal dustbin. These aluminum cans or steel cans take a long time to be separated from the rubbish and this is a waste of time. Hence, these cans should be placed separately so that they can be incinerated as soon as possible to reuse the metal.

2. Collecting used magazines and newspaper. All this paper materials should go into the paper bin, as it is easier to recycle these papers. In this way, it not only saves the environment, it also makes it easy and convenient for people to dispose of their used newspaper into a combined spot so as to collate all the newspaper and used paper easily.
