Sunday, October 23, 2011 Hello Guides! In view of the training camp we will be having during the November holidays, the guiders will be teaching us how to make a mealbag next Tuesday during act. As such, please bring the following materials to school for the session: 1. Sewing materials (needles, pins, thread) 2. Old Clothes that you can use 3. Buttons, ribbons (and any other decorative materials) that you want to use to decorate your personal mealbag 4. Old shoelace/string to act as the draw string for your mealbag Please do note that your mealbag will contain all your untensils, bowls, plates, etc so bring a cloth hat is big enough to hold all these things when folded into half (: This will be the first time we are making a meal bag so have fun learning! Bukit Panjang Initiative For all year 1s and the 2 year 3s (Wen Su and Wei Xian) who will be going over to Bukit Panjang for the outdoor cooking initiative this Friday, please gather at the foyer at 2.45pm this Friday with your water bottles and valuables. Please put your bags in the guides room before 2.45pm and we will help to take care of your belongings. You gals will be coming back after that and enjoy! :D Money collection for interest badges It's time to purchase the interest badges again! :D Please refer to the list below as to how much you will need to pay (each interest badge costs $1.50) and bring the money on Friday. Saturday, October 8, 2011  Hello Year 2 Guides! I have a piece of information here from Miss Loh regarding your Crime Prevention Badge: "Dear year 2 guides, Since exams are over, it means that you will need to start working on your Crime Prevention Badge. There are basically 5 tasks you need to fulfill in order to obtain this badge. They are: 1. Handouts (on crime prevention etc) to Parents 2. Practice Crime Prevention Measures 3. Log book (of articles etc on crime prevention) - minimal passing mark = 50% 4. Poster designing - minimal passing mark = 50% 5. Visit a Crime Prevention Exhibition Items 1 and 2 are to be signed by your parents, items 3 and 4 are assessed by guiders, and item 5 is to be signed by the policeman on duty at the exhibition. The log book will be of individual work. The poster can be done in groups of 3. I expect quality work. Please refer to your booklet for more information. The deadline for submitting the log book, poster and booklet will be 25 October 2011 (Tue), 3pm. Late submissions will not be entertained.
