Friday, November 23, 2007 hey everyone, sry for posting this so late but here are the allocated cip hours for the recycling day 4kg of newspaper/ unwanted magazines for 1 hr 30 aluminium drink cans (uncrushed) for 1hr 20 plastic bottles for 1 hr 10 glss bottles for 1 hr Charlotte:D Tuesday, November 20, 2007 heyy people=) it's my first time posting here.. anyway, the reason for this post is concerning your testwork, ie, BE PREPARED test. i don't know if all of you did prepare for this test or not, but your results are really disappointing.. i do not deny the fact that the test is difficult, but it is definitely do-able. then, why do i get this kind of results? i wont say who got what marks, but the fact is NO ONE passed. if you all borderline fail i still can accept... but why do i get one paper that is 0/25? and i know you are all tired after footdrill and all the other tests, but that doesnt mean that you can just don't care, leave so many blanks and fall asleep within 10 mins... at least try your best to ans all the qns lahh. ok. i will give you some tips. a group of you could have passed IF ONLY you read the question carefully. the keywords in each question mean alot.. if you had used the time wisely and checked properly, some of you could have passed... cos some questions are really giveaways. Specific tips: "How can the movement contribute more?" Alot of you gave me ans of how it has contributed. keywords!! MORE. then some of you not specific enough, and miss out alot of keywords in your answers... Then, i ask for Guiding Aims how come so many pple write down e Guide promise? And all those ask for years should be ok if you studied, right? ok... i shant say too much. i hope you will all try your best to pass lahh. next time i don't wanna see so many blanks. for those who want to know how well you did, lowest is zero, highest is ten. total marks is over 25.... jiayou bahhs... -Michelle TC important line of the day: u all did well. though the results are not reali lik very good but at least all of u passed the skills based test! YES! haha.. and reali proud of u all.. u all must oso be proud of urself ok! and thx to seniors who came back.. reali gt a hard time finding ppl to assess u all. most importantly, thx to everyone who put in effort thx to zoey for helping alot THANK YOU! we shall work even harder! next year aptitude test shall be even tougher! (Yimin told me to blog....lol) then after going through much training sessions... especially with the sec ones.... i found out that being an IC is not that easy... for sec ones, i think i spend most of the time with you all... i see improvement but there's still room for improvement... :) you all did quite well as a sec 1 but... pls be proud of what you are doing, if not respect what you are doing... i know it is hard to like guides and all.... i went through that stage too lah... when there's passion, there's happiness and joy... you all are a batch of cute people lah... and some of you really have the potential... show it to us! sec 3s have to pull up our socks... but i didn't know that you all fire lighting so pro one.... jia you and keep it up! Everyone must work together lah... if not maintain a good reputation for your name.... good luck for test too... be confident... don be scare.... Zoey Thursday, November 15, 2007 hey hey! today damn high!!! feels great after the whole training. though QUITE tired? *evil grins* i am so proud of u all today!! yayys! Sec1s: today took you all for tentage.. u all damn cute la. the tent haven even pegged down den put fly sheet over -_- some funnier, dun have enough pegs den DECIDED not to peg imagine u are at UG camp, slping in that tent.. tink wont hold for long -_-! and u all lik totally exceed for half hour or so?!! but i can understand la.. today u all first time during training do tentage ma.. so NOT BAD! but footdrill for today rite, haix.. ask u all dun follow track den u all still follow den ask u all lock ur arms oso didnt lock haix.. i tink u all did better yesterday the bang reali quite loud and uniform all thanks to YAN TONG's shoes tink we shld reali ask everyone buy that shoes? haha.. and all of u de timing not bad, but commanding need to be more confident.. u all always appear to be quite unconfident and soft if u reali did memorise, den dun be afraid i NOE U ALL CAN DE! we are from UG and footdrill is the most basic skill tat we shld master hope sat's footdrill will show some improvement(: Sec2s: wahaha.. so funny take u all footdrill rmb YEESING during the satu dua satu dua? hahahahha.. i reali wanna control not to laugh de. I REALI TRIED. but i am sorry to say i still laughed.. haha.. but tat day rite, i dun tink peijue will laugh la.. so u all cannot laugh too! and try to be more serious.. MAYBE beryl take u all tat time u all REALI DIDNT laugh (still cant believe it) but that day reali must be damn serious ok.. footdrill is a serious matter, cant take it as a joke today oso saw alot ppl at there trying not to laugh. ( am i reali tat funny?) if not den u all siao ah? keep laughing.. and when u are mdm rite, when ppl ask u for permission, dun jus OKOK:D but say permission granted today reali see u all putting in effort thank you and reali VERY GOOD. i mean it not only the jerk very nice, the bang oso quite uniform but u all have to work harder for kakanan lutlus and follow timing carefully during marching rite, cos some timing sometimes fast sometimes slow, den make it very difficult for u all to catch it but as long as u all concentrate on wat u doing, listen to command and follow timing, everything shld be alrite as well as not smiling at me tell u all many times le. i smile at u rite, u all CANNOT smile back den still got ppl smile back -_- and dun give tat stunned look anymore can? -> :O change of IC den jus act very calm and take up the position! not as if u all cant! Sec3s: today quite fun though dunno breathe in lik dunno how much smoke -_- at least we got boil the water!! wahaha.. I ENJOY THE TOILET CLEANING TOO(: all thanks to yuling ah -_- pls wash at the drain next time! i tink the cleaner tat auntie ANTI us lor.. haha.. and footdrill was quite fun though i didnt take it seriously.. but today got the chance to time and the feeling's wonderful missed it very much, reali. i dun reali lik to command.. very scared to land on wrong leg den PPL WILL STARE AND SHOUT OH YIMIN COMMANDER SO LOUSY! haix.. i noe.. but i tink i onli lik to time.. mayb there's other ppl more suitable to command.. and sec3s do u all want to have training in dec? i tink our footdrill not reali as good as b4 we dun jerk as well as the sec2s den dun bang as loud as the sec1s -_- or is it today too little ppl? but can see tat today got sec3s trying very hard to be a good commander.. so GOOD! we must set a good example! wahaha.. and our firelighting today quite ermm... used lots of wood and matchsticks and if u all have nth to do rite, dun just sit there and rest ok? there's work to do or ask wat u can do and we can always rest all we want after clearing up.. we always tell the juniors nth to do den fall in.. but i tink we shld reali improve on our attitude and make sure we can do it first before we say others.. yea.. so we will work hard tgt and make sure we do it! we can de sec3s! dun slack off! we still have one more year and one last year to work hard for guides! if we ourselves dun reali seem to care, who will even bother den? it's because we are sec3s and seniors, we shld do even more things for guides rite?! and not thinking of slacking and everything i noe alot sec3s trying ur best! i noe who u are! but there's jus a minority not trying their very best.. so if some can, den i believe all shld rmb wat i say today? for each component of the test, even if only 1 person fail, the whole level will have to retake together. this same goes for leading guides as well all of us play a part. there's no point for some to try so hard and others onli care abt themselves we are GUIDES we are in the same COMPANY we are all here because we want guides to improve, to be even better, and to excel favourite line agn -_-: we CAN do it and we WILL do it yimin & good luck for test u all can de! Saturday, November 10, 2007 Hey guides!!! i think todays hike was considered quite successful. yay!!! i'm veri happy to see that everyone showed enthusiasm and integrity in completeing all the tasks at the various stations. the fotresses were like totally cool. haha. although i dun think tt our hike is as fun as the amazing race tt our seniors planned for us, i think it has really shown the effort out in by eveyone:) so gd work everyone!!! hope all of ur had fun especially for our ending game. i will be putting up the photos and videos on our guides photo album. so you guys can look forward to enjoying our veri nice photos!!!! last of all i wana say a big thank you to our organizers rita, veronica and xin yu for planning dis activity for us. muakzzz** Charlotte:D:D I LOVE RVGG
Sunday, November 4, 2007 hello people! wonder why suddenly got a post rite! actually.. i jus wanna share sth with you all la.. haha.. today, i read somebody's blog.. den she keep expressing her love for her CCA.. haha.. dunno is it a good or a bad thing.. sometimes it jus seems lik we love our CCA because it's OUR CCA.. but tat isnt reali true rite..? everyone loves guides for different things ba.. i love it cos tat's the first thing that realli makes me feel lik working hard for it... it reali taught me alot.. sometimes, it's only when looking back den we realised how much we went thru together.. it's reali damn alot of stuff. rmb we sec1 tat time.. the first time i am made to sing twinkle twinkle little stars and hold my leg for so long the first time i tie some knots tat didnt even heard of it before the first time i realise ppl march is lik tat de the first time i go for UG camp the first time i got punished until reali CRY the first time i realised how much i love being in my patrol when i changed my patrol the first time i knew how fun guides can be with friends around rmb we sec2 tat time.. the first time i felt as if i am no longer a sec1, no longer a junior the first time i got involved in a campfire the first time i got into gateway the first time being a Ps the first time being an IC the first time i realised how much i love being in guides rmb this year tat time the first time i felt reali scared to see the seniors stepping down the first time i take on this position the first time i felt the determination and motivation and PASSION and urge to want to lead u all well the first time i fear for our PNA alot! the first time i learnt to treasure our friendship of all sec3s i had my FIRST TIME u had yours too so miracle rite! u see ah.. each level got 12 class, each class got around 32 ppl? den got 384 ppl u noe?! den out of this 384 ppl, we the special ones got together and form sth called a CCA!! mayb some tink very suay or sth.. haha.. but! it's FATED! wahahaha! mayb all of us hated guides before.. sure got de.. i oso got! mayb some feel sian coming to CCA.. sometimes i oso felt tis way.. i cant be sure tat i love everything in guides.. but at least i am trying to! ermm.. u all noe rite, seniors always tell us tat a level must be bonded and united.. last time, i tot i understood wat it meant.. but actually i dont.. u see ah.. how many of u can reali say it out loud tat ur level is bonded? in fact, none at all.. i always tot tat being bonded can be showed in ways lik cheering as a level. but actually it's alot more than tat! sometimes, being bonded is showing ur care for each and everyone small actions lik remind each other to bring sth, give morning call to ppl who will be late, offer to meet and contact others, wish them good luck before their competions and tests, let them drink your water if they have no more, try your best not to commit misatakes, tell them that they did a good job for all the things they done for guides and u can see tat they try their best for guides.. these are all very simple actions!! yet they touch our hearts. this year, i reali saw alot of sec3s trying their best for guides.. i noe alot ppl want to get PNA gold this year.. i oso want! but sometimes, i reali felt as though we are not trying our best. i noe we can do better. we reali can. this year, there are jus too many things to handle.. the planning for competitions and events.. such as the preparation of campfire took us alot of time.. this year we are quite focused on getting points for PNA.. u can see from the interest badge stuuf, unit initiatives, inter-unit initiatives, west div day, camp galore and alot more.. but somehow, dun u all feel tat as we concentrate on such stuff, we neglected our most fundamental skills tat we shld hav.. our skills reali lik haix...... i dun even tink i am in a position to say u all.. cos me myself oso cant make it.. sec3s ah.. we cannot let this go on anymore! someday we organise a training for all sec3s can? den we ask seniors come back can..? we seriously and desperately need it! ya let's do tat! wad dates in dec are u all are ok with? we hike tat time den discuss further!! remind me ah ya.. apart from getting gold, skills are reali very verY veRY vERY VERY impt.. so wat that if we reali got a PNA gold and our skills are not even up to standard as compared to other schools tat oso got gold? if others can managed both well! so can we! and ya.. everyone do so many things and contributed so much is not onli for the sake of tat *GOLD*.. it's for doing guides proud and to see the fruits of our labour! even if we dun get it rite, still got next year! if not next next year.. still cannot den next next next year! and the day is coming soon! i can see it! haha.. reali leh.. last year i tot we will get.. after doin so many hours of cip.. -_- but nvm rite! let's make our unfulfilled dream come true! WAHAHAHA! my favourite line: we CAN do it and we WILL do it jiayou ppl!! we can de! and today the hike reali mad one.. made me run until muscle ache.. alot ppl oso rite.. so hav a good rest! goodnite ppl!!
