Eunice. hey! sec 1s! please remember to bring $75.20 tomorrow! if you are looking at this, please help pass msg to your sec 1s or your fellow levelmates! -tingxiang Sunday, March 22, 2009 hi guides! a bit late but just wanted to post some stuff about UG camp xDD well, overall, just wanted to say thank you to everyone who went for the camp! even though it was really tough but you all made it through without much complain(or maybe u all did but i didn't hear it =.=)! sec 1s: this is your first UG camp so i could say that you all really exceeded my expectations. of coz with exception of your tentage. i know that this camp is a lot tougher than the usual activities. maybe that is why a lot of you find it really really tough during the camp. just wanted to let you know, this time when we organize this camp, we didn't do it with the aim of torturing you guys. just wanted to make sure you guys really understand what it means to be a guide and to really try to up your skills! u guys quite lag behind leh! sec 2s: some of you become PS during the camp! hope that you all got learn something from this camp. even though it is kinda difficult and strange, but you all must keep in mind that we going to hand over soon kay? so you must really buck up and show us the potential you have! during the camp it is really great that i see some trying to take the initiative. but it isn't enough. you guys gotta really step up and try to help out in guides kay! you all should also take note about the things that you learn in guides! don't ever think that you will never ever use them again! if your seniors take the trouble to teach you, the least you could do is to remember it ok? sec 3s: will be frank with you all. this camp quite disappointed with you all. you were made the PLs during this camp. we already at the start told you all that YOU are the PLs. so being the PLs, shouldn't you like try to take charge at least your own patrol? throughout the camp i just keep seeing the sec 4s telling you guys to do stuff! maybe you guys think that you have tried your best. but i just want to tell you all. This camp is suppose to be a camp that helps you push beyond your limits. honestly ask yourself, did anyone of you really think that you have pushed beyond your limits? or have you just been wondering inside the boundary of what you perceive to be your limits? when you lead your juniors, always remember, you are suppose to be their role model. if you cannot do what you request of them, how do you expect them to achieve it? so always try to remember to lead by example ok? especially since if you want them to follow you without much complain or reluctance, please if you are the IC or PL or any position, take note of your own behavior before you scold others first. This point i think maybe you all nid to work hard on ok? and work hard on your knots! i think your footdrill is totally superb! but being a guide means you MUST know knots ok? that is where we are so different from the other UGs.
