Saturday, October 31, 2009 Hi guides. this is regarding the act on 2nov (mon). This is mainly preparation for rod, which is on the 5 nov (thurs). It will be from 8am - 12pm. For the first 2 hours, we will be practising for the performance item. Then, the next 2 hours we will be having a dry run, as in run through the whole program, including the MCs. So, performance ICs must be prepared, like rmb to bring your songs (if you have). And people pls try to make full use of the time provided to polish up or practise your performance!! The attire for this is pe shirt and blue skirt. We will meet in the canteen, but most likely is at the piano side, coz have exams on the other side, so we aren't allowed to be there. Any further details for rod will be given on 2 nov. People who hasn't given me your consent form, pls pls rmb to bring it on mon, it's your last chance....so rmb to bring. like the previous announcements, girl guides would be helping out during the RV Big Walk. So, we would need 18 guides all together. We will be choosing the people on 2 nov too. amanda Thursday, October 29, 2009 hi guides! we are meeting 11 am at the canteen to collect photos and hand in consent forms. there will not be any cca, so it will only last for a while. dont need to wear 2nd u, just school uniform will do. rmb to sign and bring ur consent form!!! those who are taking the crime prevention badge would have to stay back for a longer time to take the test. Ms Foo will be conducting the test. It has been confirmed that girl guides would be helping out in the RV Big Walk next year. The majortiy will consist of year 1s and 2s. So, names and details would be decided tml. So, everybody has to come tml ok? oh ya, I still have some extra consent forms with me. Here are the volunteers that are helping out during the Sec 1 registration day Mengping (leader) Stephanie Qijia Liting Corliss Nicole Wensu Xuehui Dilys Wanru Sec 1 registration is on the 23rd of Dec 2009, Wednesday from 7.30am to 12 noon. The reporting place is in the new school campus hall. All the volunteers have to be free on that day to help out. If you are unable to make it on that day, please inform the main comm and find a replacement as soon as possible. More details will be given to all of you when everything is confirmed. To all, please be reminded that you have to submit the courses that you have attended this year and the amount that you have to pay to your PL/PS by the end of this weekend, 25th Oct. (Check your email if you don't know what I am talking about.) The PLs/PSs have to collate everything and send a copy to the main comm by monday. Please name your file according to your patrol. Thanks! Yiyao (: Some important annoucements: 1.There will be CCA next Friday. School will be ending early on that day, so CCA will be starting early also. It will start at 11.30am. 2.The November and December Holiday Schedule will be given out to everybody on the coming Tuesday. Please note that the consent form for this have to be handed in on coming Friday also. 3.Patrol Leaders rmb to collate the summary list and ask your patrol if there is anyone who cannot go for the SWAMI Carnival on 13 December 2009. Tell me by Monday morning. (We will be setting up 2 game stalls.) 4. 2th November 09 have a preparation session for the coming ROD (5 Nov 09). Everybody has to come. (8am-1pm) 5. Proposals for the West Division Day Competitions have to be handed in by the end of next week (1 Nov 09, 2359hours). We decided on this deadline because the competition is only about slightly less than a month away. So, one week is to settle the proposal and the rest of the time (2-3 weeks) is to complete all preparations needed. Send the proposals to the main comm. 6. According to Blogger, this is our 201st post! (Claps!) Anyway, you all should have received the email about ROD, and also smses from your PLs regarding CCA. But I'll just type it here anyway. 1. CCA RESUMES ON FRIDAYYYY! :D 2. ROD proposals are to be handed in to the O I/Cs, Huiying and Jiaqi, by FRIDAYYY TOO. Hard copy must be in by CCA, while soft copy by friday night. 3. GUIDES COOKIES! - Swallow, Oriole, Flowerpecker and Dove, please gather in the hall tomorrow at 7.10 am SHARP (pokes) to collect your guides cookies. All patrol members MUST be present before you collect, and it is on a first-come-first-serve basis. - Kingfisher, Sparrow and Mynah will collect on Friday. - Please remember to bring your order forms DOWN!
