Sunday, January 24, 2010  Sunday, January 17, 2010  Please note that the ICs for the second half of the act are not confirmed yet (seniors may not be coming).Those who are involved in the ug booth, please meet at the guides room at 2.00pm sharp. You are allowed to leave class at 1.40pm. Please take your lunch and change into full guides uni (except those in fire; wear half uni) during these 20 minutes. That's all for now. Priscilla. Sunday, January 3, 2010 Hi guides, good job for Big Walk....!! =) Everybody will need to stay back tml after school to prepare for open house on coming wed. We will be doing preparations according to our committees. Attire: pe shirt and blue school skirt Time: 2.30pm Venue: fall in outside guides room, there's a empty space there Some of you may not know ur committees now, so we will announce it tml. Regarding what you may need to bring tml, ur comm ic shld already inform you abt it. So come tml, unless you have 3rd lang lessons. Thanks. =) UG PARADE: reminder to all involved in ug parade, pls come tml by 6.50am, pls dont be late. wear full guides u, and all the usual stuff, polish ur trefoils, iron ur scarf, wear white canvas shoes, and the socks pls try to wear longer socks. most importantly, dont forget to bring any part of ur uniform, like the beret. iron ur beret also. we will be meeting in the canteen. There are some last-minute arrangements about the big walk duties. And mostly it's about the timing. I just received the email yesterday. Please ignore the timings in Amanda's previous post. [She asked me help her type this post] So please please go according to the timings here! For all: Attire is big walk tee plus school blue skirt. 1. Old campus @ Malan road Guides involved: Hueimin, stephanie, emily, dilys. Time to report: 5.45am @ flagpole area Look for Ms Zeng Jia Hui 2. West Coast park Guides involved: Jiaqi, Corliss, Wanru, Mengping Time to report: 6.30am @ Macdonalds Look for Ms Foo Su Lyn 3. Commonwealth Secondary School Guides involved: Siwai, Jiayan, Wensu, Nicole. Time to report: 7.30am @ Parade Square Look for Mrs Jasmine Chua (If she's not at parade square, look for her in the canteen) 4. You will not be able to participate as a walker anymore because you will be down for this duty. Therefore all of you will have to report to school at 8.30am. I know some of you may be really excited for signing up to be a walker, or have already arranged it to be with your friends, or are even psls, but as Mrs Yap has emphasised in her email to us, "duties should be the priority". I know everything is very last-minute and it's very unfair to you girls and trust me I feel the same way. But putting PNA aside, this also concerns our image in school. If the guides cannot even be present to do such a simple task, what will the teachers and others think about guides? They asked us to help for a reason, and I hope you all will be gracious enough to help out. Perhaps some of you may think that there's no point in me saying all these since they're orders from the teachers, but I hope that you all will understand why I see the need to explain. I know that this is like a once-in-a-lifetime thing for all of you, but if you girls aren't there, this once-in-a-lifetime thing might be screwed up for everyone and I'm sure you don't want it to happen. Please don't think I'm talking crap, because I am really trying to apologise to you all on behalf of the teachers and the school for informing all of you so last-minute. On a sidenote, please inform one of your friends that because you are down for duty, you cannot participate in the walk anymore. They will need to inform the teacher who will be taking attendance at the science centre. Let's jiayou tomorrow okay? I'm sorry! Priscilla :x |
