I am suddenly inspired to write a blog post here.
Yup. Here goes..
Well for a start.. I am not here to rant about UG camp..bla bla bla.
Just want to do a quick summary about the camp
and write down more about how I feel about our CCA (:
I can say that for this year's UG camp.. it was more of a mental training instead of a physical one. As all of you should know(okay maybe not the sec 1s), this year's camp is the slackest UG camp that I've ever been to. Then why? Why? WHY do all of you still get so much scolding from the seniors on the last day of camp?
This is basically a reverse psychology. If the camp is more focused on the intensive physical/discipline aspect, all of you here would definitely have more sense of urgency/behave better. However, what we wanted to observe during this year's UG camp is how true leaders, even during the slackest condition? (if there is such thing), would still hold firm onto the values that the seniors had passed on to them (which in this case, is your sense of urgency/being able to run from one place to another without any reminders/time louder during punishments/etc).

This UG camp definitely helped us to identify the true leaders in guides ( I am not particularly referring to anyone, if that's what you are thinking now. Actually there are a few that the seniors identified.) So many of you would say:"Ha. Ha. There are only 3 months left. So how are you going to help all these people that you've identified?" The answer is simple: We would not tell you. Therefore, I want to encourage each and everyone of you, especially the sec 3s, to not be complacent and satisfied about who you are now/how you behave during cca.

As for the juniors, Sec 1s especially, please try to treasure these 3/4 (not 3 quarters! -__-) years with your level mates/cca mates. I hope that you guys understand why we are so strict during the camp. And also, one thing that we must stress is the basic respect for one another. It's kind of disappointing to see that you do not respect us. I hope that you do what you have said in front of all the UGs during your performance for Candlelit Night.

I can say that I am really proud of the sec 2s. Please continue to be passionate about guides and get closer to one another. Any thing that you are unhappy about with each other, please thrash out okay? I am beginning to sound as if I am writing a will here. Alright. I shall conclude my short/not short post here. I think towards the end of this post, I ran out of brain juice and inspiration, thus my inability to write more.

P.S. Please think about what I've said in this post and reflect on yourself with a mirror.
