Friday, May 28, 2010 Hey guides! We will chai the gateway structure on next Monday, 31st May. All gateway members are expected to turn up unless you have valid reason or are away from singapore. other people are encouraged to come too because we reali need your help(: gateway, please sms me or mengping to tell us whether you can come. for those who are going, meet in the canteen at 8am. if we can finish our job early, then we will go home early. otherwise we will stay till 3pm latest. :D thks -jiaqi Sunday, May 23, 2010 Guides! Note to all: You are supposed to let a teacher grade your interest badge and fill up the template for you. (2) tml's campfire trial, don't need everybody to be there, but everybody are to do their campfire stuff in the hall or near the hall (gateway). If there are any comm that face probs in doing their stuff near the hall, we will settle tml. (3) however, like all trials, u all have to perform when ur time comes, thus explaining the reason for (2), coz when it is abt ur turn, then someone will call u all to go perform (4) every level have to contribute abt 3 bottles of bubbles on sat...rmb to bring!!!! hahas, coz we wanted to enhance the effect (5) for Year 1s, u all have to get ur guides uniform from the guide hse on sat morning with Yantong, other details like meeting time and stuff, yantong will settle with all personally and internally. But because of this I think it is ok if u all come a little, like maybe abt 11pm? I will reconfirm with Yantong, after she has confirmed the timing with u all. Tuesday, May 4, 2010 Hi this is only for initiative ppl, I just received news from Mdm ong that all of u have to hand in the proposal together.SO she will only be sending the proposals to HQ one time. So, those of you who havent started, pls start ASAP. Rmb that processing time takes up about one month's time. Hmm, go refer to the email I sent earlier for the earliest initiative date and minus one month off...that's ur proposal deadline. RMB!! Thanks, AManda =) Monday, May 3, 2010  Saturday, May 1, 2010 Campfire Updates It has been confirmed that we will be holding the campfire indoors. And like we have said before, this is a new thing to all of us and there are some work we have to do, to make it work. Most importantly, Programme have to come up with a very interesting and entertaining program for the campfire. Next, with the program, Emcees can start revising and editing their scripts, and have to familiarise or even better, memorise. Food I/Cs, I will find u on Tuesday to discuss a little more on the food and stuff. And, yiyao, qingyi and engting heard the recording from the fuhua band, and they thought it was good. So we are going to invite them to come and perform for us. =) Fire has not much a problem, except on how to deal with all the soaked wood. Backdrop is doing well so far too. Souvenir has finished their work!! Yay! *Claps* Programme has quite a lot of work to do, so I think Souvenir will have to help out, jiayous!! Gateway has quite a lot of work too, and time is very tight...must jiayous too! reminder: there's only 2 more campfire preps, and they are tues, so jiayous everybody, let's try to complete everything on time, ok? Hi all guides, bad news T_T ...I just received news from Mdm Ong that the Year 2s cannot go for the Cameron Highlands trip, because the school has already made arrangements for them during E&C Week and they are not supposed to go for any overseas trip. We are very sorry for the last min notice, but it's because we are being notified very last min too, and we hope u understand.... but dont feel too sad, I m sure the Year 2s will have their chance next year.... So, the urgent task at hand, is to find replacements for these 8 Year 2s. This is open to only Year 3s and 4s, because similarly, Year 1s are down with school's activities. So, anybody interested pls tell me by coming Monday. We need ur help, so if u want to go overseas and not get stuck in school, pls sign up for this Cameron Trip. Rmb, it's by Mon!! Thanks, Amanda |
