Friday, July 30, 2010 Sry for the late post. This is an announcement for tmr's initiative. Time to fall in: 7.30am Meeting place: Outside guides room Attire: 2nd u -Wan Ru Thursday, July 29, 2010 Hey guides, here are some things to add on to the previous announcement. 1. for the cookie order list, u are supposed to photocopy it, keep the original version, and pass the photocopied one to ur PL tomorrow, friday. (: the quota is 10 tins minimum k! 2. sec2s, and sec3s. you all rmb that we asked u all to do a reflection about West Div Day? sec1s, you all will also have to do the reflection. write about whatever u feel about the West Div Day, what u could hav improved on, and what u have learnt etc. you dont have to follow the points given here but we expect to see a standard piece of work from everyone of you. btw for the act tmr refer to the previous previous post (: see you. jiaqi Things to clarify

Monday, July 26, 2010  Hey guides!this is wat will happen tmr: YEAR 3s tomorrow there will be NDP parade, and the attire will be HALF U. basically it is only for those who do not hav to take the crime prevention course this year. YEAR2s and 6 YEAR3s you all are going to hav the crime prevention course. Time: gather by 2.45pm Venue: Foyer Attire: School Uniform Duration: 1 hr 30min you guys will probably be back in sch around 4.30 so u might be asked to join in the NDP rehearsal. YEAR1s you all will not hav CCA this week. Friday, July 23, 2010 Hello! There are 2 announcements. First announcement: West Division Day As written on the consent form, please reach the foyer by 8.30am. The attire for tmr is 2nd u. Please be sure of which competition you are supposed to take part in or help out at the booth. Second announcement: Crime Prevention Course The people involved are all sec2s and the six sec3s who missed the test last year. You are to meet at the foyer by 3pm in sch u on 27 July. Rest well and jiayou for tmr! Wan Ru:D Thursday, July 22, 2010 HI guides! Sry for the late announcement. This is an announcement regarding the details of tmr's SC Investiture. The whole company is supposed to fall in outside the guides room by 7am tmr. The whole company will be involved in the investiture. Hence there will be a briefing tmr as stated above. Pls be punctual. Attire: Full guides u(without beret) Leave class at: 11.45am Meet at auditorium by: 12.45pm(u shud have alrdy changed into ur full u) The whole company can be excused from class at 11.45am for their lunch and to change into the full u. by 12.45pm when you fall in at the auditorium, everything shud be ready(like ur hair shud be in plaits). I know that some ppl have tests aft 11.45. For those who have tests, pls follow ur timetable. Aft the test, you are to come out of class and change into ur full u. These ppl are to assemble at the auditorium latest by 2.45pm.(pls be reminded that you are not supposed to change between lessons but u can change during recess. however pls make sure that u have enough time to eat) Ppl who have test tmr have to sms mengping and tell her by tonite. If you dun have her number, pls sms and PL and ask for her help to forward to mengping. The investiture will start at 3pm. So the rest of the company except the 19 helpers can leave by 3.30pm. Before u leave, pls fall in outside general office as mengping will be briefing you all. Pls be reminded to polish ur trefoil, wear canvas shoes and bring all the parts of ur full u. *those who are late without valid reason will be counted as punishment *there will be attire check oso. pls make sure tat u are properly attired. -Wan Ru:) SC Investiture

Thursday, July 15, 2010 Hey guides! Below is the recollection that we have to recite every year during national day, and this time we have to do it during the NDP Parade in school. We are expected to shout out the response k, so everyone please spend some time to memorise the responses. Thanks! There was a time, not long ago, When other flags flew in Singapore. The British flag in colonial rule, And the Japanese flag in war. There was no freedom, no justice, When our forefathers stepped ashore. Life was a struggle, bitter and hard, And families were hungry and poor. They spoke a dozen different tongues, Though their dreams were all the same. But their hopes for a better lifes were lost, When war and invasion came. Response: They had no rights, they had no say, And they longed to be free one day. After the war, they called for change, For the right of our fate. Some of us wanted democracy, Others, a Communist state. Riots and killings in our street, Years of hate and fear. People said we'd never survive, When independence drew near. When self-rule came, we took a vote, And joined Malaysia, merged as one. But even friends disagree sometimes, And more trouble had soon begun. Response: Our happiness was not to be, Untill our country could be free. August 9, 1965, We were out of Malaysia, alone! Some sec2s told me u all are having the HSK test on o4Sept = date of launch for empathy project. so you all cannot go for the empathy project alr D: so now i need to find either 7 more people for the empathy project or one person would have to opt out. sec1s and 3s you all consider about this ok . 4. Year2s pls be reminded u guys will be going for ur health trooper badge during act this friday. attire is full sch uniform. most probably you all will be gather at the foyer by 2.30 like the sec1s.
