Thursday, July 21, 2011 Hello, This is the last post before the last batch of AYLC people fly off on Friday morning, so please take note of the very important announcement below! First, Guides cookie will come in around September, so if you need to arrange a time to meet with your friends or something, arrange for a time perhaps after September. Second, there will be phototaking on 29 July for the year book. Wan Zhyi, Wei Shan, Sherryl and Maxine, please report in full u by 2.50pm. Please bring along your 2nd u and prepare the necessary props (gadgets) for the phototaking. Meet outside the general office at 3pm on that day with your props and in your full u. The whole company might also be taking a photo on that day. Lastly, NDP rehearsal will start at 3pm on Friday so same thing, fall in at 2.45pm on Friday outside guides room. I will post a brief description of the NDP parade procedure here so that you gals can be more prepared for the rehearsal on Friday, especially since this year's NDP parade is quite different from last year. 1. First, we will s.edia at the mama shop when the commander shouts baris sediia. 2. After that, our next cue is when the drum beats start. We will brief you gals on Friday which beat of the drum to start at. As we will be the contingent at the back, we might not be able to hear the drum beat, so the actual cue to start marching will be confirmed during the rehearsal. Then, we will march out from outside the mama shop all the way to the flagpole infront of the grandstand. 3. Hanta when we reach our position until the drum beat is given for us to turn. 4. Then, we will carry out the ceremony during which we will sing the national anthem, recite the pledge, read the recollections, sing My People, My Home and the national day message will be read out. Have you memorise your recollections and My People, My Home lyrics? If you haven't memorise them by TMR. Remember to sing the national anthem, shout out the pledge with pride, respond to the recollections loudly and sing my people my home with a clear and LOUD voice! Let's us all jiayou for this NDP parade. 5.Then we will turn to our left, march forward a little, bello 2 times until we are facing the opposite direction. We will then do a march past during which we will tilt our heads to salute the flag. 6. Then we will march off all the way to the flagpole on the other end. The whole procedure will be quite long so jiayou for the rehearsal and of course on the actual day too! The act schedule will be on the next post ^^ Regards Xue Hui (: |
