For this Saturday's CIP (23 Aug), we have to be at the place half an hour before our shift. Which means that we have to reach the actual place at 1130am. So, we'll be meeting earlier at City Hall MRT, at 1045am. Then we'll go there together.

So please take note! The meeting time at City Hall is 1045am!

The attire will be blue polo tee and jeans.

WHAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO DO (please take note!) :

When we reach the destination, we'll register, then they'll pass us the shirt. Quickly change into the shirt they give, then gather for briefing before we start to fold the wands (wire). They will teach us how to fold, so no worries about that. (:

We will need to count the completed ones. Each packet contains 30 wires exactly. So when you've finished one packet, please use the plastic containing the wires to tie the wands up together and put it into the box labeled 'COMPLETED'.

And once the shift ends, please tie up loose wands together and place them into the box labeled 'MISC'. For left over wires, place them in the box labeled 'WIRES'.

This is roughly what we're going to do there, so you guys just take note.

Rationale:

- All Wired Up! Under NUS Students’ Union Volunteer Action Corps (NVAC) Charity Fiesta 2008 aims to break a record in the Singapore Book of Record by folding 30 000 angel wands using wires.

- The purpose of folding the wands is to create awareness among members of the public, as it symbolises the spreading of hope across the nation, when the wands are planted onto the map of Singapore.

Hence, we need your help!

Besides breaking the record, we want to spread the message that love and hope is all around, and that we possess the ability to help someone out!

Keep this in mind when you fold =)
